I was born and raised in Eastbourne, spending most of my life here. Having spent several years away in London for university and work, I am now back and looking forward to the next chapter in my career journey. I graduated from UCL with a degree in computing, management, and business, and then joined a mortgage brokerage firm in the city, dealing with high-net-worth clients. After a several successful years, I left to pursue an opportunity with Pass the Keys. My background includes working closely with our family owned long-let property portfolio business, as well as several years of experience as a mortgage broker. I'm excited to use this experience and business acumen to provide excellent service for hosts and guests alike.
Tell us a bit about why Eastbourne and Hastings is desirable as a short-term rental hotspot...
Eastbourne and Hastings have become prime destinations for short-term rentals, attracting millions of visitors annually to this charming coastal region. Renowned for their stunning natural beauty and rich history, both towns offer a more relaxed alternative to the bustling city life of nearby Brighton.
Eastbourne, hailed as the sunniest town in the UK, is a vibrant seaside resort that blends natural attractions with modern amenities. Visitors can enjoy breath-taking landmarks such as Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park, along with the bustling bandstand and iconic Victorian pier. Eastbourne's town centre boasts a wide array of shops, restaurants, and theatres, ensuring there's something for everyone. The recent £85 million refurbishment of The Beacon shopping centre and significant investments in the Devonshire Quarter underscore the town's commitment to enhancing its cultural and entertainment offerings.
Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea, with their blend of old-world charm and contemporary flair, are perfect for those seeking a cosmopolitan yet relaxed seaside experience. The promenade links the historic Old Town with St Leonards, home to numerous galleries, museums, and cafes. The town offers an idyllic coastal retreat, with these great amenities and local beaches nearby.
The area's excellent infrastructure, including easy access from London, further boosts its appeal. Whether you're interested in historical sites like Bodiam Castle and Battle Abbey, family-friendly attractions like Drusillas Park, or annual events like the Rothesay International Tennis tournament and the Air Show, Eastbourne and Hastings have it all.
These factors make the region an ideal spot for short-term rentals, promising great returns for hosts and unforgettable experiences for guests.
