    West Oxfordshire transforms into a winter wonderland during the holiday season, offering festive charm, family fun, and plenty of Christmas cheer. Whether you're a local or visiting, here’s your guide to the must-visit Christmas events happening in the region this year.


    Blenheim Palace: Christmas at the Palace (until 1st January)

    From late November, Blenheim Palace becomes a beacon of Christmas magic. Explore the illuminated trail, a spectacular mile-long journey through the palace grounds featuring illuminating lights, stunning installations and interactive displays. Inside the palace, the State Rooms are transformed with elaborate festive decor as part of this year’s themed experience, Neverland, a swashbuckling adventure bursting with magic and make believe. Don't forget to stop by the Christmas market in the Great Court and take a ride on the Ferris wheel. A new experience this year is The Great Skate promising an extra festive treat for family and friends!

    Witney’s Festive Market (5th - 8th December)

    Kick off the season in Witney with its charming Christmas market. Wander through 30 Christmas chalets brimming with handcrafted gifts, mulled wine, and seasonal snacks while enjoying live performances from local choirs and bands. The market is even bigger and better this year as it becomes a 4 day family-friendly event.


    Chipping Norton’s Christmas Gift Market (8th December)

    The picturesque town of Chipping Norton hosts its annual Christmas Festival, complete with a bustling market featuring around 70 stalls, carol singing and a visit from Father Christmas himself! The high street sparkles with festive lights, creating a magical atmosphere for a winter evening out. Topping the speical day off at 5pm is Kaleb Cooper from 'Clarksons Farm' who has organised the very first 'Kaleb Tractor Run' to entertain you and the kids!

    Christmas Fair at Waddesdon Manor (until 22nd December)

    For a truly unforgettable family day out, head to Waddesdon Manor, and soak up the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas with charming wooden chalets, home to festive treats and crafts.  The Manor and grounds are transformed with captivating festive displays and decorations, promising to surprise and delight with enchanting tales from Sleeping Beauty - a truly immersive experience!

    Eynsham's Christmas Market is a hidden gem featuring local craftspeople, food stalls and live music in the Market Square. The event supports local charities, making it a feel-good way to get into the holiday spirit while ticking off your Christmas shopping list.
